We’ve heard the news before that Xiaomi was preparing new tablets with high midrange specs and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU name was mentioned. Today we learn that the company is actually preparing 3 new tablets and multiple Snapdragon 8xx phones are in use.
Just as Lenovo is also readying a salvo of new slates, Xiaomi has at least a Snapdragon 860 tablet prepared. The info comes from Twitter account @xiaomiui and it reveals 3 codenames for the products: Enuma, Elish and Nabu. They’re also known as K81, K81A and K82. They seem to share the same IPS screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2560 x 800 pixels. We are also promised 410 nits of brightness and apparently even a triple or even quad camera setup, odd as it may sound.
There’s talk of a 48 MP main camera or 12 MP on lower specced models, plus a ultrawide, Macro and Bokeh cameras. Finally, The K81 and K81A have the Snapdragon 870 CPU inside, while the K82 opts for a Snapdragon 860. We’re expecting smaller diagonals here like 8 or 9 inches, but at least one of these models could be a larger flagship unit. There’s rumors of quad speakers, wireless charging and fast charging, plus special gaming features.
