Xiaomi unveiled at last its latest tablet and it appears that we are indeed dealing with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro instead of the Xiaomi Pad 7. The newcomer is a 12.4 inch slate with a high refresh rate, powerful CPU and 6 speakers.
Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is available in 3 colors: black, blue and green and weighs 590 grams. The 6 speakers on board come with Dolby Atmos support and we also get 4 microphones on the tablet. It’s bigger than the predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro and comes with a 12.4 inch IPS LCD display. It’s got a boxy 3:2 aspect and a 3048 x 2032 pixel resolution, plus up to 900 nits of brightness.
The display here is supposed to be professionally color calibrated, so much so that it can be used as a secondary monitor for the videography abilities of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It’s calibrated to the CIE2015 color curve. The display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and supports pen input. It can distinguish between finger and stylus input, with 360 Hz and 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
There’s HyperOS on board, instead of MIUI, applied on top of Android 14. There’s even triple screen split for some apps. Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 comes with pogo pins, that allow you to magnetically attach a keyboard. Hardware specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 8 GB, 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM, plus 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage.
The battery is a 10.000 mAh unit, with 120W charging and just 10 minutes of charging bring 45% battery. The product is on sale now, with a price of 420 euros for the 8 GB RAM model and 256 GB storage. There’s also 520 euros for 12 GB/ 512 GB, plus 590 euros for the 16 GB/ 1 TB unit.
