BUILD 2013 is still preparing to open up its gates, but the pre parties and conferences are starting. Some lucky journalists were lucky enough to catch a first glimpse of Windows RT 8.1 running on the Surface RT and they took some pics and videos of that.
Version 9431 of the OS has appeared and it comes with all the innovations that people were speculating about. One of the innovations is the new start screen, with bigger and smaller tile sizes than the current ones, the ability to insert a wallpaper in the mix and some options that allow you to start the device directly in desktop mode.
Even the famous Windows 8 icon has been placed at the lower left, the long awaited Start button replacement. The only thing not mentioned yet is the presence of Outlook, that’s supposedly coming as well with this release. Another mention is that some areas of the Charm section have become flashier and feature cooler animations.
