I’m pretty sure you know that BUILD 2013 is taking place these days and Microsoft is the biggest presence there, unveiling the likes of Windows 8.1 Preview and a few interesting bits of software. Well, Windows 8.1 Preview can be toyed with on your device as well and we have a tiny tutorial for you.
Obviously, you need to start by backing up your files on the tablet and PC. Then you need to go to the Windows 8.1 Preview page, where you will receive the option to install a small update, that will allow Windows 8 to offer Windows 8.1 Preview via the Windows Store. Then comes the device reboot, the requirement to install Windows 8.1 Preview at login and your click on “Go to the Store”.
You will reach the Windows Storage page for Windows 8.1 Preview and click on Download. Then you’ll be all set and for those wondering, the new platform brings a new design for Windows Store, more tile sizes and some claim that there’s even a Start button in there. At least one was spotted in Windows RT 8.1 at BUILD….
