Companies like Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme, iQOO may seem like huge entities, but in fact there’s a huge conglomerate behind them, called BBK. That’s so big it could even beat Apple or Samsung in phone sales. Oddly enough these companies haven’t ventured into tablets just yet. Vivo seems to be the first to do it, according to a new leak.

Vivo’s first tablet has just leaked online, as seen in the sketches from this article. Vivo is present in the world of smartphones, wearables, headphones, watches and more. Now they’re making a tablet, which appears to sport a more powerful than usual back camera, judging by its design. Vivo has already applied for trademarks for names like iQOO Pad, iQOO Book, NEX Book and NEX Pad. Those were actually trademarked in June 2020, preparing for the first Vivo tablet. We expected it to be called Vivo Pad, but it never came through.

Interestingly enough, the source that brought us the sketches also mentions that the Vivo tablet has a “micro cloud gimbal camera platform”. We’re expecting to see Android 11 in the mix, with a custom UI on top, OriginOS, the replacement for FunTouch OS. Seeing how the components of the upcoming Xiaomi tablets are shaping up, we expect more of the same for the Vivo Pad. I’m talking 120 Hz, Snapdragon 870, at least a 7000 mAh battery and 6 GB of RAM. The gimbal thing sure has us curious.

Meanwhile, the iQOO models may end up as gaming tablets.
