Toshiba is becoming the new Samsung, since it’s expanding its tablet portofolio by the day. Now it has announced yet another tablet model and if I’m not mistaking they’ve announced more than 5 new models this year alone. Anyway in the pictures below you’ll see the new Toshiba AT300 quad core slate.
This device features 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a 8.95 mm thick chassis. There’s also Gorilla Glass protection in the mix and a battery that provides 10 hours of functioning time. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel camera upfront. The device weighs 590 grams and it frankly doesn’t sound like it’s bringing anything new to the tablet. It looks like a solid rival for the Acer Iconia Tab quad core models, but that’s it…
Also on the feature list there’s WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, a full size SD card slot and a combo audio in/out port, a microUSB and microHDMI port. A pair of 1W speakers with SRS audio are in the mix as well and an eMMC card slot for up to 64GB of extra storage. The slate is available in 16GB and 32GB versions and Tegra 3 is accompanied by 1GB of DDR3 memory. Pricing is a mystery, while the launch date is “sometime in Q2”, so pretty soon.
