Apple’s greatest pride is its iPad tablet that according to the manufacturer has been sold in more than 120 million units around the world. The latest device announced last year offers a powerful hardware configuration with the new Apple A6X chip and the Retina display to go along.
Apple has announced today the launch of the new 128 GB new generation iPad with Retina display. We are of course talking about the regular model and not the iPad Mini that has storage options limited to 64 GB as did the Retina display tablet. The new version will be available for both the WiFi only version and the WiFi + Cellular variant though the prices are far from accessible as with most Apple products.
The 128 GB iPad WiFi model will be sold for $799 while the WiFi + Cellular variant is priced at $929. Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, also released a statement concerning the new model:
With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs.
With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.
