These days we’ve been testing the Allview Viva i8 tablet, a rebranded Teclast P89 Mini for the East European market. The device has dual core Intel CPU and it impressed us, but apparently Teclast is preparing a modified version of this product.

One of the complaints we had about the P89 was the lack of HDMI and well, P85s Mini, the new model solves that complaints. This new model also stands out through a blue metallic body, that measures only 7.2 mm in thickness, like the predecessor. We also get a 7.9 inch Full HD OGS display and inside there’s a quad core Allwinner A31S quad core processor.

This is inferior to the Intel Clover Trail+ that our test unit had, but it will have to do, since probably the price will be even lower. This Teclast P85s mini unit is expected on the market this year, with an IPS panel, 8 GB of storage, Android 4.2, WiFi, a microSD card slot and a Lithium Polymer battery.
