Samsung seems to have been inspired by Apple’s choice to offer new iOS devices with the full productivity and multimedia suite available for free, so they’re rivaling that with a few services and apps bundled on their new devices. This week at CES they unveiled the Galaxy NotePro and TabPro tablets and now we find out their bundled services and apps.
For example you can get totally free of charge the Sketchbook Pro application, as well as Bitcasa, with 1 TB of storage for 3 months. There’s also Bloomberg Businessweek+ with a free 12 month subscription and Blurb with a free coupon. Dropbox gives you 50 GB for 2 years, while Evernote has 12 months of free subscription bundled.
Linkedin with 3 months of Premium membership and New York Times with a 12 week subscription for free round up a list that’s very rich in content and available in the source link below. Keep in mind that there’s not much productivity going on here and there’s no REAL photo or video editing app included for example. Should we be mean and call this “bloatware”?
