Well, that was fast! The Samsung Galaxy View Tablet was announced recently and now it’s already up for purchase in the US of A. The product is focused on entertainment and media consumption and can be found at Best Buy, Amazon, B&H and Samsung’s own website.
Best Buy and Amazon have the product in stock right now, with the former also offering it in brick and mortar stores. Galaxy View goes for $599 in the WiFi version and the cellular variant isn’t available just yet. This is an 18.4 inch tablet, with a TFT screen, not an AMOLED one and with a big hinge at the back, that can be used to lug around the slate and move it from the kitchen to the living room for example.
Samsung promises 8 hours of continuous play and watch time, so users can binge watch their favourite TV shows for example. The tablet also brings 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, Android 5.1 and a 2.1 MP front camera. The 18.4 inch screen has a Full HD resolution and inside there’s a 5700 mAh battery and an octa core Exynos 7580 processor.
