Samsung just debuted its Galaxy Tab S tablet range in India, a market that has been receptive to new slate models. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will be available in Indian stores soon and it appears that only 3G models will be sold in this country.

The bigger model will sell for the equivalent of $745, while the 8.4 incher will go for $629. The Galaxy Tab S series brings the Super AMOLED panel back and offers resolutions of 2560 x 1600 pixels, plus 90% of Adobe RGB color coverage and 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. There are also two preset display modes on these devices: AMOLED Cinema and AMOLED Photo. Inside the new tablets we find the Exynos 5 Octa processor and features on board may remind you of the Galaxy S5.

For example the back side has a perforated texture and we also get a fingerprint scanner on board. The Galaxy Tab S models run Android 4.4 KitKat, offer 3G support, 3 GB of RAM, 8 megapixel main cameras and 2.1 MP front shooters. There’s Bluetooth 4.0 on board, WiFi, infrared ports, 16 GB of storage, microSD card slots and a 4900 mAh and 7900 mAh battery respectively. Software features from the latest Samsung models are also here: Ultra Power Saving Mode, Multi User Mode, Kids Mode, Call Forwarding and more.
