Samsung’s most affordable tablet right now, the Galaxy Tab A9 has just received a spinoff, a Kids Edition. It’s dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition and it has just been unveiled in Malaysia. It comes with a few accessories tailor made for children.
The product is up for purchase for $170, but customers will also get a complimentary bundle worth $65, which includes a Crayon Stylus, Kids Puffy Case, 15W travel adapter and Kids Sticker. The bundle is available until April 30, or while stocks last. As far as specs are concerned, this is one of Samsung’s most affordable tablets, as confirmed by the spec sheet.
Inside we find a MediaTek Helio G99 CPU, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. However, there’s also a version with 8 GB RAM. Specs… well, you already know them: an 8.7 inch screen with a 1380 x 800 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel main camera and 2 MP selfie shooter, plus a 5100 mAh battery. What’s different compared to a regular slate is that it has the Android 14 experience with Samsung Kids on top, as the UI. There are also time restrictions, parental controls and more.
