Samsung already debuted the affordable Galaxy Tab A9+ tablet and now it’s launching a Kids Edition, with a protective body. There’s also enhanced software, or better said enhanced parental control.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition has the same specs as the original model and it comes with an 11 inch, 90 Hz screen, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, a big battery and 4 GB of RAM, plus 64 GB of storage. The new version also adds a protective case, that Samsung dubbs “Puffy Cover”. It’s made of shock proof materials and it’s supposed to be flexible and lightweight. It’s bundled with the device’s purchase.
It also comes with a built in kickstand. The Puffy Cover is available in yellow, red and blue. It can also be purchased separately for $34.99, if you already have the Tab A9+. There are also extras for this edition: 3 Crayo-Pen styluses, available in different colors, which can be stored within the case. They can also be tethered, in order to ensure they’re not lost.
There’s also the Samsung Kids app preinstalled, letting parents set safety protocols on the tablet, like screen time limits, app restrictions and more. The product is priced at $269.
