The international version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) has been updated with a new version of software, that brings it functions like Download booster and Kids Mode. Last month the T-Mobile version of the phablet got updated with the Galaxy S5 features mentioned before.
We’re talking about the Snapdragon model and the over the air update has been confirmed so far in the UK. It includes a version 2.0 of KNOX and the whole update is around 185 MB in size. It has the build number N9005XXUFNF4. The Kids Mode function doesn’t work right at the start, since the update only brings the Kids Mode installer, which you will use to download the needed files.
This fresh update is expected to arrive in other regions in the coming days. By the way, this is not an Android 4.4.4 update, since the OS is Android 4.4.2 and folks who have been playing with the new software for a few days have noticed slight improvements in battery life. The guys from the XDA community also noticed improved animations and claim that the update really makes a difference for the average user.
