The Samsung Ativ Tab 3 is a 10 inch Windows 8 tablet with an Intel Atom Z2760 processor, that will be available from September with a price tag of $700. The device is pictured below and you should expect it to come to USA from September 1st.

The device packs 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and it will come bundled with a Bluetooth keyboard, that will also transform the device into a notebook of sorts. The Ativ Tab 3 supports a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution with 5 point multitouch and the product weighs 600 grams, while measuring 8 mm in thickness.

Its functioning time should be about 7 consecutive hours. We’ve got a 2 megapixel back camera on it, a front 720p camera and a microUSB port and microHDMI on board. The slate will be bundled with the Microsoft Office Home & Student software, plus proprietary Samsung software like S Note or S Memo.

No wonder why windows 8 on tablet failed so badly? Who will pay $700 for low version (Intel Processor) when there are lot of equal spec android tablets out there for better price.

I think Samsung has gone bananas. They already have a tablet/netbook, it’s called Ativ Smart PC and there are virtually no differences between Ativ Tab and Ativ Smart PC. Why in the world they launch an another tablet with same specs, and same old last year CPU?

Bay Trail is around the corner, soon many tablets will appear.
Samsung are notorious for launching a product with last year specs as it would have been fresh new.
