RuggON is yet another one of the companies I haven’t heard of, but I’ll keep them in mind, since their latest tablet sounds solid. I’m talking about the RuggON Rextorm 10.1 inch slate, pictured below.

This model features an ultra bright readable display, which makes the product appealing for people who work outdoors. The device also comes with a rugged case, Gorilla Glass protection and it meets the military standards for shock and vibration protection. Specs include an Intel Core i5 Haswell or Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, 4 GB or 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and 120 or 240 GB SSD storage.

Rextorm offers 1000 nits of brightness and great sunlight readability and it can also be sunk in water or dropped on concrete. I should mention that this product comes in 3 different versions: Rextorm PX-501, PM-521 and PA-501. Each version has a hot swap dual battery and the P521 comes with a choice of either Windows 7 or Windows 8 Pro. There’s even Android included as an option here and I should also bring up the presence of LTE, micro HDMI and microSD.

No price has been announced.
