Think about bending your tablet without breaking it? It can be done, according to the folks of Polymer Vision, who created a prototype called Readius years ago. This device is not yet real and because of lack of funding till now, its makers stopped it. However, the company Wistron is interested in taking over the initiative.
Initially, the project involved an e-reader with e-ink display and folding ability, in order to become pocketable. When collapsed, the gadget becomes sort of a smartphone, complete with keypad and mini display, as shown in the image above. No prototype available yet, since this is all a concept, but we sure hope that a real product will come soon.
With the Nintendo 3DS and Kyocera Echo as inspiration, we expect something groundbreaking this time…
