QUMO is a company I’ve never heard of, but they have an interesting product available in Eastern Europe: the Infinity tablet. This device is priced at around $300 and it’s pocketable, apparently according to its maker. We’re dealing here with a 7 inch Gingerbread slate with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, so we can’t expect too much from this device.

QUMO Infinity comes with 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, WiFi, 3G and the famous Mali 400 GPU for gaming. There’s also a @MP camera on board, light sensor, G sensor, HDMI port and Bluetooth. You also get the usual Google apps and services, such as Maps, Search, Gmail, Android Market and more. QUMO even promised an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but I can’t guarantee they’ll follow up on that promise.

The device measures 12mm in thickness, weighs 410 grams, so it’s truly light and slim and its CPU is a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 unit. It also offers 512MB of DDR2 RAM and a 4000 mAh battery, that should provide a few hours of entertainment. For this price you’re better off with an Amazon Kindle Fire + HP TouchPad, making a total of $300…
