The Panasonic Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 tablet was supposed to start shipping in February 2014, but we’re in March and this model still hasn’t arrived. Neowin dug around and found evidence of the slate being sold online.
Apparently, the product will ship between March 10th and April 3rd 2014. This model was introduced back in September last year and it has been delayed a few times already, but it seems that shipments to most retailers have been dispatched late. There’s a reseller called Rugged Mobile Computing, who is going to start selling the tablet this week.
We’re talking about a pretty bulky model, with a 1.9 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD for storage and Nvidia GeForce GT 745M graphics with 2 GB of VRAM. The screen is a very big 20 incher, with a resolution of 3840 x 2560 pixels. The price tag is also huge, at $5215, but there will also be an even better model, at $6999, with an Intel Core i7.
