Chuwi is a brand from China that today is associated with two stunning tablets, that feature some of the best CPUs on the market. On the one hand we’ve got a model dubbed V99i, packing the new Intel 64 bit quad core CPU and on the other hand there’s the VX3, with an octa core MediaTek chipset.
The first unit is a 9.7 inch Retina display 3G model with the Bay Trail-T Z3735 chip and it’s shown above. Its resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels and its CPU runs on 22 nm technology. As far as the graphics go, there’s a PowerVR SGX544MP2 solution with DirectX 11 and Open GL3.2 support. Apparently the 3G part of things is only the support for a stick/card, so it’s not native 3G.
Chuwi V99i looks pretty promising and we move on to the VX3, that packs a 7 inch display and the MediaTek MT6592 octa core chipset. Judging by the picture below, this is a very slim device and also well specced in the graphics department, with the powerful Mali 450 MP4 graphics processor. The resolution here is 1920 x 1200 and the panel is IPS.
The products will be available in April.
