The Nvidia Tegra tablet is one step closer to launch, having just cleared the NCC and this has caused a few leaks, as you may expect. I’m talking about specs and about pics, both available in this article.

The new model is the Nvidia Tegra Tab P1640, a slate that has leaked before, but not in so much detail. The product has now appeared on the Taiwan Certifications website dubbed the NCC. The Tegra Tab P1640 is expected to debut at IFA 2013 in Berlin, packing a 7 inch 1280 x 768 pixel display, an Nvidia Tegra 4 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz and a 5 MP back camera.

There will also be a front camera, Android 4.2.2 as the OS and a microHDMI port, USB interface, SIM tray and audio jack. We’ll get WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and stylus support on this model. From what I can see, the design is pretty basic, making me think more of a Huawei tablet than an Nvidia model.
