We informed you earlier this week that India was about to get a new Windows 8.1 tablet, the Notion Ink Cain 8 slate. Priced at $162, the device has arrived in India, where it’s sold exclusively on Snapdeal. I’d have to say the price is about right, considering the specs.
Notion Ink Cain 8 runs Windows 8.1 and packs an 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, with an IPS panel and 5 points of touch. Inside we’ve got an Intel Atom Z3735F processor and you should know that in spite of the lack of voice calling support, there’s 3G support and a micro SIM card slot in the mix. The Notion Ink officials promise 8 hours of video playback and this unit comes with 1 year of Microsoft Office 365 subscription.
The internal storage is 16 GB and we’ve got an extra 64 GB via microSD. There’s a 2 MP back camera and 2 MP front cam, plus a micro HDMI port, micro USB port and a 4000 mAh battery inside. Notion Ink Cain 8 measures 9 mm in thickness, weighs 365 grams and relies on Intel HD graphics clocked at 646 MHz. What do you say of this product?
