According to a new report released by DigiTimes we get to know that the global demand for non-Apple consumer notebooks and tablets is likely to remain weak until the end of this year. As we already know, Apple launched the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, devices that have been sold in more than 20 million units until now.
This low demand for tablets and notebooks will remain weak until the second quarter of 2015, when Microsoft will launch the Windows 10, while Apple will bring in stores the new iPad Air and iPad Mini tablets that are expected to be launched in less than a week, more precisely on October 16.
Beside the notebooks low demand situation, we are informed that flagship smartphones from Samsung Electronics, Sony and HTC has also dropped worldwide recently. As an extra information, the sources from DigiTimes reported that Apple is planning to add Pegatron Technology as extra ODM partner.
