We’ve heard about the Nokia Z500 MeeGo tablet a while ago, but now it has been confirmed by mistake, thanks to this Ovi Store page. The leak doesn’t provide any details about the device and we sure hope Nokia did a better job with this product, than with the Booklet 3G netbook.

Also, don’t expect to find any apps for the slate posted on the web just yet, since not even the MeeGo OS was finalized. Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review mentioned the tablet back in June, also claiming that a Chinese manufacturer will handle the development of the device.

We’re possibly looking at a MeeGo-based iPad rival and we’re really curious to see if Nokia adopts the 10 inch large slate format or the “easy to use with one hand” 7 inch design. Also, we hope to see at least a 1GHz CPU under the hood, or at least a processor that supports overclocking.
