Nokia is about to get “Sirius” about 10 inch tablets (sorry, couldn’t help it), if we’re to judge a recent rumor by The Verge. Apparently, the Finns are preparing a 10.1 inch slate for launch soon and it may look like the model below.
The device is in line with the Lumia series and the name Sirius is being thrown around as its moniker. This is a codename for the whole project and we’ve heard about and seen the device before, so I can’t say I’m truly surprised. The product is expected to be thinner than the iPad and also lighter at just over a pound in weight.
The body will be colored and Nokia wants to include a 6 megapixel camera at the rear here, with a 2 megapixel shooter upfront. The 10.1 inch display will be a Full HD one and it will be improved for outdoor readability, courtesy of a high amount of bright output. Sources say that the slate will feature Qualcomm’s quad core Snapdragon 800 CPU and 2 GB of RAM. The battery inside is expect to provide about 10 hours of usage and we’ll also get LTE, micro HDMI, microUSB and microSD.
The debut of this product is speculated to happen on September 26th.
