We’ve first heard about the Nokia Z500 MeeGo tablet in June 2010, through a tweet of the famous Eldar Murtazin Mobile Review editor in chief and now the slate is back to haunt us, appearing in TRON: Legacy. The following screenshots show you scenes of the movie with the tablet in them.
The Z500 was also exposed in November 2010, via a leak in the Ovi Store and if you’re wondering about the TRON appearance, know that Nokia sponsored the movie. Also, the TRON trailer appeared in all the Nokia N8 demoes, so the blockbuster had to return the favor. This is not the first time we’ve seen Nokia gear is a major picture and if you remember, the Nokia 5800 surfaced in Batman: The Dark Knight, quite some time before launch.
Also, in the latest version of Star Trek there was a mystery Nokia device, a supposed concept unit at the time. Back to the Nokia Z500, speculations claim that this unit will feature a 10 inch display with a 1366 x 720 pixel resolution. We’ll probably learn more at MWC 2011…
