Some of the most affordable and well specced Android devices come from China and this is also the case of the newcomer Newman K2S. This is an upgrade from the Newman K2 model on the Chinese market and it brings high end specs with a $310 price tag.
The Newman K2S is an octa core device with the famous MediaTek MT6592 processor at its core, clocked at 1.7 GHz. It also comes with 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 13 megapixel camera at the back with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front shooter. There’s Android 4.2 as the OS here and a 3000 mAh battery to juice everything up. The device measures 9.8 mm in thickness and weighs 204 grams, by the way.
It supports GSM and WCDMA standards and it’s available in China right now for $310. I’m curios if such devices will ever reach Europe or USA and under what branding they’ll do that. I expect a solid rebranding or maybe no launch at all.
