With Amazon supposed to unveil a new Kindle Fire soon, maybe even next month, Apple and the other tablet makers must hurry and get their 7+ inch slates out there. Among these Amazon rivals we find B&N, with their Nook tablet, that supposedly also has a follow-up coming. The new Nook Tablet is rumored to feature an “outstanding display”.
Sources close to the company claim that the book seller is now applying the finishing touches to a new Nook slate, that could be launched soon. Sources also say that the device uses a great display, that will be revolutionary. Rumors say that the company is developing the new tablet in house, with the aid of some other company, that’s an expert in hardware manufacturing. So, what technology do you think B&N is using? Pixel Qi, IPS, Super IPS+, IGZO maybe?
Anyway, if you truly want to make a difference there are two aspects you need to work on: great resolution and low power consumption. If you have those two figured out, your product is golden. But there’s got to be more to this Nook than the screen…
