The folks of Android Central have a hot exclusive, that involves the new Nexus 7 , with an updated look and a fresh rear camera. The device looks more compact than the predecessor and it seems very sleek. The long awaited model has never been entirely pictured till now, so this is a premiere.
There’s also a rumor that this product may debut during a Google event on July 24th, happening in San Francisco. Previously, we’ve seen the device’s leaked price, some specs and benchmarks, but never a picture, let alone a video. This prototype is labeled ME571K_PR1_SKU2 and it’s manufactured by ASUS yet again. 16 GB and 32 GB versions are expected, in both WiFi and cellular versions.
The specs mentioned here include a 7 inch LCD display, a front 1.2 MP shooter and a back 5 megapixel camera from Chicony. The CPU is said to be the Qualcomm APQ8064, which is the Snapdragon S4 Pro, not the Snapdragon 600 that was rumored. There’s also a mention of a crazy 4 GB of DDR3L RAM, that sounds crazy, especially for the rumored $229 price tag.
It’s possible that the specs got messed up and it’s just 2 GB. Android 4.3 finally completes the feature list and you can check out the drool worthy gear in the video below:
