Those of you connected to the e-reading world have surely heard of the brand Kobo and its upcoming new tablet. There’s also another interesting device, coming in September just like this model. The e-reader I mentioned is the Trekstor Pyrus 2 and the Kobo unit is the Kobo Arc 10 HD.
Trekstor Pyrus 2 LED is the world’s first ebook reader with front light technology. It comes packing a 6 inch E Ink 600 x 800 pixel display, 2 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a price tag of 80 euros. It will offer support for formats like EPUB, FB2, PDB, PDF, HTML and more, but it will lack WiFi.
The Kobo Arc 10 HD is a new tablet, that will be unveiled during a special event in New York, on the 27th next month. It packs a Tegra 4 1.8 GHz CPU, a 10 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel display and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the OS. This is certainly a solid rival for Amazon’s upcoming Kindle Fire HD units, no matter what specs they hold.
