Apple may not have unveiled a new iPad in a while now, but it’s making sure to unveil iPad accessories. It has just come up with a new Apple Pencil, with USB-C today, as we learn from Mobilissimo.ro.
The latest Apple Pencil can be seen as a product in between the first gen Apple Pencil, priced at $99 and the second gen unit, priced at $129. The newcomer costs just $79, well 95 euros in Europe. The new model charges via USB-C and lacks wireless charging or wireless pairing. It supports the hover feature of the M2 iPad Pro and can attach magnetically to the side when it’s not being used.
There’s also no pressure sensitivity, which is available on both the first and second gen Apple Pencil models. There’s still the low latency functionality for responsive input and the tilt sensitivity for shadowing.
The new Apple Pencil with USB-C measures 7.5 mm x 155 mm and weighs about 20.5 grams. It’ll be sold from November.
