There’s a LTE tablet with the codename SM-T805 going around these days, popping up in benchmarks. This model may be a Samsung slate, especially since it packs an Exynos 5420 processor and also a powerful Mali-T628 GPU.
It supports a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution on a 8.4 inch display and its specs include 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 7 megapixel back camera, as well as a 2 megapixel front shooter. The OS is Android 4.4.2, so nothing surprising so far. This tablet is already supposedly certified and tested in India and it also fits a previously leaked 8.4 inch Galaxy Tab Pro from a few days ago.
Some say it may be that Super AMOLED model that Samsung has been working on for a long time. The brightness, vivid colors and deep blacks of AMOLEDs are missed on slates, so this is a welcome addition to their portofolio. But won’t this cannibalize their other 8.4 inch slate and the Galaxy Tab 4 units?
