Sony just debuted the Xperia Z2 Tablet, a new waterproof slate model, that has an ultrathin case. This device measures only 6.4 mm in thickness and it’s very light, at 426 grams.
Its specs include a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, clocked at 2.3 GHz, the Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB of RAM and a 6000 mAh battery, good enough for 10 hours of media consumption. We’ve also got a Full HD TFT display and an 8.1 megapixel cam at the back with 16x digital zoom. This model has surround sound and digital noise canceling and it’s expected to debut in March 2014.
This is also a waterproof device and it comes with 4G LTE. As far as the OS goes, we’ve got Android 4.4 KitKat with the custom Sony layer on top, that includes the Walkman player and few other goodies. Sony also included a 2.2 MP front camera, PlayStation certification, MHL 3.0, support, USB charging with a special QuickCharge feature and FM radio with RDS.
