Huawei wasn’t the only company that brought a tablet looking like a bigger HTC One at MWC 2014. HP also brought their Slate7 VoiceTab model, that borrows a bit from the HTC One and also brings a pretty price of just 229 euros. We handled this slate in Barcelona!

This model has dual front speakers like the One and it offers the user the ability to make phone calls. The Slate7 VoiceTab is available in a dual SIM version as well and it has already launched in India. It will be coming in May in Europe and it provides 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a battery that gives you between 8 and 10 hours of functioning time.

HP Slate7 VoiceTab measures 9.5 mm in thickness and its screen is a 7 incher unit with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. We also get a 5 MP back camera, 1 GB of RAM and a front 2 MP shooter. The CPU is a quad core unit, with unknown origins for now.

Hope this tablet comes stateside but as I said previously in other posts here HP and others have noted the sheeple nature of the buying public in america who will not research anything for themselves by making use of informed sites such as this one but would rather wait to be told their thinking by some multimillion dollars marketing drives or the word of mouth by relatives who know far less, so they can line up overnight. Thank God for HP , Dell, Asus and Acer ( to a lesser digree) who have sufficient respect for the masses to build a quality reasonably priced device for the shrewed consumer.
