Alcatel has intensified the release of devices over the past 2 years or so and they even launched some products on the tablet market. One of them is the brand new Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7S, that has been handled by our journalist at MWC 2014.
This model features 4G LTE connectivity and integrates a 7 inch IPS panel with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. Inside there’s a quad core 1.2 GHz processor and this unit integrates a 3 megapixel camera without flash. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and uses a VGA front shooter. Notice the plastic build and pretty big screen bezels.
In spite of the apparent massive look, this model is only 8.9 mm thick. The screen seems pretty bright and the view angles are not bad. I can see that the UI is customized, at least as the icons are concerned. I’m very curious about the battery on this model. If that’s good, then Samsung has a big affordable rival here.
