A few weeks ago we uncovered a Japan exclusive Microsoft Surface Pro, that featured 256 GB of SSD storage and in the meantime, the product has somehow managed to not appear on Microsoft’s web store. However, it has appeared on CDW.com, where it’s priced at $1,199.
We have no idea if this is a Japanese export or a legit local seller. Importing the devices from Japan may make you end up with a slate that lacks local support from Microsoft, I guess. This version of the Surface Pro tablet comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM, a Full HD multitouch display and 256 GB of SSD storage, of course.
The price tag is a bit high, if you ask me, since it would bring you almost 4 iPad Minis… Also, you’ll probably be able to buy about 5 Nexus 7 second gen units… Another reason to stay away is the supposed new Surface tablet launch that we’re getting closer and closer to, if rumors are real.
