If you want a quad core tablet with a low price, but one that doesn’t comprise in the CPU area, you may like the Galapad 7 model, shown below. This is a 7 inch slate with a Tegra 3 CPU inside and a pretty reasonable weight.

It uses a 7 inch IPS panel with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, accompanied by Android 4.1 as the OS, 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. There’s also Bluetooth on board, GPS, a 2 megapixel camera at the front and a microSD card slot. This slot supports a maximum capacity of 32 GB. There’s also a micro HDMI port on board, a microUSB port as well and the battery is a Li-Ion 3500 mAh with  standby time of 400 hours.

Finally, the Galapad 7 packs a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass and proximity sensor. This device measures 9.9 mm in thickness, weighs 320 grams and supports H.264 and MPEG 4 video codecs.
