Fresh details regarding the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 have popped up online and it seems that the future device is going to pop up with an Intel Kaby Lake processor. Paul Thurrott offered some details and we are expected to see the device in the next weeks.
It seems the Surface Pro 5 won’t change the proprietary Surface power connector. Thurrott also says that the tablet won’t suffer dramatic changes, so we’ll get a refreshed design and upgraded components. I expect a magnesium case, kickstand, the usual kickass speakers and new accessories. Microsoft could make the switch to USB Type C/Thunderbolt, replacing the DisplayPort.
Fresh Type Covers, styli, maybe even a new Dial could debut. Extra storage, RAM and a big screen with high resolution are obviously expected. Microsoft has yet to make an announcement, but what’s certain is that we won’t get a Surface Book 2, since the Redmond firm denied it. Expect to learn more at BUILD 2017 next month.
