Microsoft Surface Go started getting some promos recently, in order to be properly promoted and now we learn that the product got some variation. A third midrange version is now available on Costco, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. Let’s check it out.

Microsoft Surface Go debuted recently with two initial configs, like the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC one, plus the more expensive one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD. Now there’s a third version, that mixes the best things about those models. 4 GB of memory and 128 GB of SSD are both here, basically a middle ground. SSD is also superior to eMMC flash memory, so you’re gaining here.

Oddly enough this midrange version is priced the same as the high end Surface Go with 8 GB of RAM. At least it also throws in a Type Cover detachable keyboard in black, usually sold for $99 separately. Costco sells this device for $549.99 and it’s only available to Costco members. I’ll remind you that the device packs an Intel Pentium Gold CPU and a 10 inch display.

The product is found on Costco’s website and it can be preordered now and ships on August 2nd. The screen offers a 1800 x 1200 pixel resolution and the battery life is up to 9 hours of video playback. We’ve also got USB Type-C connectivity, a 5 MP front camera and a back 8 MP shooter. We also have 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
