Microsoft Surface Book 2 debuted last October and it was available in pretty limited fashion till now. Today we learn that the laptop is ready to expand beyond the USA, in official fashion. Apparently all the markets that have Surface products will get the Surface Book 2 from April.
Interestingly, the 13 inch Surface Book 2 was already available worldwide, but not the 15 inch one, which should be ready for an expansion by April. The new list includes countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and UK, plus a few more. Preorders are live today for the 15 inch Surface Book 2.
Starting with February and then through March and April the 13 inch and 15 inch configs of the Surface Book 2 will expand to places like Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Spain and more. Prices will of course vary and depend on the region, starting at $1499 in USA for a 13.5 inch laptop with integrated graphics and the 7th gen Intel Core i5 chipset.
Add a newer CPU and you pay a $500 premium for that. GTX 1060 packing models will cost $2500 and up, plus extra RAM adds to the price. Nice to see Microsoft going worldwide with its quality laptops.
Let’s just hope they fixed the battery drain problem.
