It appears that convertibles are starting to get cheaper, especially those with Android. Lenovo has one of these up their sleeve, as a brand new leak shows. The model shown below is the Lenovo IdeaPad A10, an affordable Android convertible laptop.

Apparently, the leak was caused by Lenovo itself, that uploaded PDF manuals for the device way too early. They reveal that the IdeaPad A10 comes with a 10.1 inch display, Android 4.2 and a fold back screen form factor. This entry level unit relies on a quad core Rockchip CPU, accompanied by 16 or 32 GB of storage, a front facing VGA camera and a seemingly sturdy rotating mechanism.

German listings of the product hint at a price tag around $338, below the cheapest Lenovo Yoga unit on the market. I have to say that the UI On this device feels a bit strange for an Android device and makes me think more of a Chromebook or something. Will this product become a hit anytime soon? Before you get too excited, apparently the screen can’t be taken out as standalone tablet…
