Lenovo debuted a new Chromebook this week, the Flex 11 model, that comes with a 360 degree hinge and a $279 price tag. The machine is a convertible with a multi mode hinge and a touchscreen display, with anti glare layer.
The 2 in 1 machine runs Android apps, thanks to the Google Play Store support added to Chromebooks a few months ago. It can also run apps installed from the Chrome Web Store, by the way. Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook has a sealed touchpad and reinforced ports, so if you spill your coffee on it, the damage won’t be major. Specs include a 11.6 inch screen with a 360 degree hinge, as well as a quad core ARM chipset clocked at 2.1 GHz.
This machine can survive a 2.4 feet drop and it comes with pretty solid connectivity options: USB Type C, HDMI, USB 3.0 and SD card slot. Everything is packed within a a body that weighs below 3 lbs. There’s also 4 GB of RAM on board, 32 GB of storage and a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Water resistance is probably the best aspect here.
