An entry level Lava tablet was launched in India today, the Lava X80 model, that’s pictured below. This device goes for $148 and brings specs that would have been reasonable maybe 3 years ago.
It has an 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel screen and runs the old Android 4.4 KitKat. It also provides HSPA connectivity and relies on a quad core Intel Atom processor, clocked at 1.83 GHz, working together with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot in the mix and a main 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, plus a front 3.2 MP shooter with a front flash.
Thus we can call this a selfie tablet. It also has a 4200 mAh battery and comes with one year of warranty for the slate and 6 months warranty for the in box accessories. Said accessories include the battery, a headset, charger and USB cable.
