Here’s a new an interesting Kickstarter project, one that involves a tablet called Jide Ultra Remix. The device looks a lot like the Surface tablet, only it runs Android in this case. The product instantly went viral on Wednesday when it was announced that for $39 pledged you can still get a tablet, but they ran out fast.

The Jide Ultra Remix isn’t exactly a new face, since it was unveiled first at CES 2015 and its launch is planned for later this year, with a price tag of $399. It brings a Full HD 11.6 inch display, an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, 2 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage. It also offers a microSD card slot, a front and back camera, plus an 8100 mAh battery.

The Android experience available here is customized and the final result is something called Remix OS, that allows users run Google’s mobile OS in a Windows-like style. This even includes Windows multitasking features for improved mobile productivity. The Kickstarter project started on March 25th and already reached $75,000 of the required $100,000 for completion.
