Just hours after the iPad Mini launched, it was mounted on a car dashboard by the guys of Soundwaves, in Tampa, Florida. The guys of Soundwaves have a dashboard setup especially fabricated ahead of the iPad Mini launch and when the slate launched, they filmed themselves fitting the tablet on the dashboard.

The installation couples the device to the in car speakers and a separate music control device. The integration of the tablet is very discrete and you’d swear that the Toyota came with the tablet attached from the start, if it weren’t for the Home button to give out the integration. You can turn up the volume of the car system interacting with the music player on the tablet and everything works just fine. They even access Facebook at some point and play a YouTube clip, everything from the car.

For some reason, the entire loading process of apps feels a bit laggy and that had me worried a bit. Everything on the iPad Mini isn’t as snappy as I’d expect it to be and I frankly wonder if the device is like this all the time or just here…
