Ever since this weekend’s leaks regarding the iPad Air 3, we had a feeling the device was going to end up looking like a smaller iPad Pro. That’s reconfirmed today, when a new drawing leaked out, complete with quad speakers.

The speakers are placed close to the corners of the device, like on the iPad Pro and the drawings feel more like schematics to me. Aside from quad speakers, there’s also Smart Keyboard support and a slightly thicker and wider body. The iPad Air 3 is expected to come in March, possibly with a new 4 inch iPhone and with upgraded hardware compared to the iPad Air 2.

The next iPad will bring a Smart Connector on each side for the next gen smart accessories, in the vein of the iPad Pro again. An extra hole close to the camera also confirms the case designs we saw yesterday, which also hinted at an LED flash for the 8 MP shooter. If the source that posted the picture is right, the new iPad Air will be 0.05 mm thicker and 0.1 mm wider than the predecessor. Now we can only wait for a legit specs list, that may or may not include a 4K display.
