Although the highlight of the day is the iPad Mini and its debut in about 6 hours, the iPad 4 keeps leaking. A couple of days ago we showed you its connector dock and now its screen has been pictured. We see here the brand new panel, that some already speculated it could belong to an upgraded iPad 3 actually.

There were recent rumors saying we may get an upgraded iPad 3 with a Lightning port and other minor tweaks. Back to the current leak, we’re dealing with an iPad 4 front panel that includes a larger front camera cutout. This may lead one to believe that Apple will include a bigger sensor upfront, maybe the 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD camera from the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch. Another change is the fact that the display will be optically bonded to the panel, to reduce glare and improve the clarity of the images.

We could be dealing with a leaked iPad Mini panel here, so take the images with a grain of salt. It’s nice to see that there’s a comparison between this leaked part and the corresponding one on the iPad 3. Other things to look out for on the iPad 4? A thinner chassis, different CPU, better back camera maybe…
