The past days have been dedicated to dissecting the iPad 2, making its real specs come to life. Thus, we’ve found that it comes with 512MB RAM, a possible CPU with Samsung marking and apparently not 1GHz as we had hoped. We’re dealing with a 894 MHz CPU, that’s still good enough to amaze benchmark testers.

IOSnoops and AnandTech tests showed that the ARM Cortex CPU works at around 900 MHz, but there’s also a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU at work to satisfy your high power needs. iPad 2 is able to render 57.6 frames per second in a GLBenchmark test, beating the Moto Xoom by far, that only scores 26.7 frames per second.
