Infinix is one of the biggest phone makers you probably haven’t heard of, as they’re part of Transion, an IT giant that’s placed on the 4th spot globally, among phone makers. The company has just entered the tablet market with its first slate, the Infinix Xpad, which gets detailed below.
The device is an 11 incher, with a midrange Helio CPU inside and it also has 4G connectivity. Infinix Xpad packs a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, an octa core unit clocked at 2.2 GHz. It’s a CPU used a lot by the Transion brands and it offers a 4G modem bundled. Even gaming is promised for this device, which packs an XArena Game Space, with 3 different power modes, meant to allocate various levels of power for the ARM-G57 MC2 GPU.
The 11 inch screen on board is an LCD with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It’s got slim bezels, for a total screen to body ratio of 83%. The screen brightness reaches 440 nits and the device comes with a metal unibody case. There’s an 8 megapixel back camera here, plus a front 8 megapixel camera too.
There’s even AI, courtesy of a solution called Folax. It’s basically a voice assistant powered by ChatGPT. Quad speakers take care of the entertainment part. The Xpad arrives with a 7000 mAh battery with 18W charging and it will be available in 3 colors: blue, black and gold. It comes with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.
We sadly don’t have a price just yet.
