Today we’ve stumbled upon a very elegant tablet, one that in spite of its 9.7 inch diagonal seems more portrait oriented. The device is dubbed iFive Air and it’s pictured below, with a chassis that measures 7.5 mm in thickness.
The product integrates a quad core Rockchip RK3288 processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Inside there’s an 8200 mAh battery, that should provide about 10 hours of functioning time. iFive Air is expected to be released around the holiday season period, so we have to wait a bit longer. It’s important to notice that the UI makes use of colourful tiles, so the Android interface has been customized.
From what I see this model adopts a metallic edge and may as well feature a metal back. The chipset on board of the slate supports resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels and relies either n the ARM Mali T760 or T764 GPU, depending on the version included. It also comes in tandem with 1 or 2 GB of RAM and offers support for up to 8 megapixel cameras.
